Fortune Pai Gow Poker Introduction

Fortune Pai Gow Poker has an optional bonus bet that will consider the best hand possible among your seven cards. In this game, you can bet any amount within the table limits however, a Fortune bet must be of a certain amount in order to qualify for the Envy Bonus payouts. You can win the Envy Bonus when another player at the table receives a four-of-a-kind or higher. In case you are not familiar with what Pai Gow Poker is, it’s an American version of a Chinese domino game and in some places, it’s even known as double hand poker.

The aim of this seven-card poker game is to create two poker hands (a two-card and five-card poker hand) out of the seven-card hand that is dealt. These two poker hands need to beat both of the dealer’s hands. The five-card hands rank must exceed that of the two-card hand because if they don’t then the round will be forfeited.

Fortune Pai Gow Poker Game Features

When placing bets, the game uses a 53-card deck consisting of a single 52-card desk plus a joker. The joker is semi-wild and can be used to complete a straight, a flush, a straight flush or a royal flush by substituting for any card. Furthermore, it can also be used as an Ace in any hand.

In order to start the game, you must make a bet in the standard bet area. Keep in mind that the Fortune Bonus bet is optional and can only be bet on before the cards are dealt.

After betting, the player and the dealer will receive seven cards each. The player must split their seven-card hand into a five-card hand and a two-card hand. The five-card hand’s rank must exceed that of the two-card hand, or the round will be forfeited. The dealer will then split their seven-card hand into a five card and a two-card hand. Both the five card hands and both two card hands will be compared therefore, if both player’s hands beat both of the dealer’s hands, the player wins. If only one of the player’s hands beats the dealer’s hands, the bets push however, if both of the player’s hands lose to the dealer’s hands, the player loses. If there is a tie (player and dealer have exactly the same hand), then the dealer will win that hand!

Fortune Bonus Side Bet

The Fortune Bonus is an optional bet. Essentially, the Fortune Bonus evaluates the your seven cards and pays out according to the paytable. Hands from a Straight to a seven card Straight Flush are awarded. Keep in mind that The Fortune Bonus does not take into account how cards are split into five and two card hands during the game.

About the Provider

SHFL Entertainment, previously named Shuffle Master, was founded way back in 1983 in Minneapolis. This is a company with extensive experience in shuffling machines, table games, and slot machines.

Shuffle Master founder, John Breeding, has the idea to create a continuous shuffler, which would make sure every hand would be dealt from a virtually completely fresh shoe to eliminate card counting. When it was put on the market in 1992, it was an instant hit among land-based casinos who saw that it was a great way to stop advantage players.

Later the company also expanded to slot machines, creating games like The Honeymooners, Press your Luck, and Let´s Make a Deal. To distribute their games worldwide, they partnered up with IGT and Bally Technologies. In 2013, Shuffle Master was acquired by Bally Technologies and today, both Shuffle Master and Bally Technologies form part of Scientific Games, one of the largest companies in the industry.

Their main focus, however, has always been on the land-based gaming market and online gamblers might be complete strangers to this name. However, many of the company’s popular games like Three Card Poker and Let It Ride are now available to play in many online casinos, with more making their way to the online gaming world.

Some of Shuffle Master’s games include 88 Fortunes, Dancing Drums and Blazing 7s Blackjack
