Single Deck Blackjack

Welcome to Single Deck Blackjack. This game is the same as normal blackjack with the difference that in normal blackjack you are playing with a total of 6 decks of cards where in single deck blackjack you are only playing with one deck of cards.

In single deck blackjack you are not playing against any other player, you are only playing against the dealer. Your goal is to draw cards and get a combined value from your cards to be 21 or as close to 21 as possible. If you get more than 21 you are bust.

The game starts by you placing a bet and then clicking on the deal button. The dealer will deal 2 cards to you facing up and 2 cards to the bank of which one is facing up so you can see it. Then it is your turn to decide if you want to hit or stand. If you want another card to come closer to 21 you click on hit but if you are happy with the cards you have then you click on stand and you will not be given anymore cards in this round. Then it is the dealers turn to hit for more cards so he will flip his closed card over and if his 2 cards make a number of 16 or less he will draw a new card until he has 17 or more. If your hand then is better than the dealers you win as much as you bet.

Aces are worth 1 or 11, dressed cards are worth 10 and all number cards are worth the value of the number (10-2).

To get a blackjack you have to get 21 on your first 2 cards which can only be achieved by getting an ace and a dressed card and when you get blackjack you are paid 3 to 2 assuming the dealer does not also have blackjack.

Should you have 2 cards of the same value you have the option to make a split which will split them into 2 separate hands. You will then have 2 hands and thus you must place an equal bet on the second hand as there already is on your first hand. You will then proceed to hit for additional cards until you are satisfied and click stand. This gives you the option to double your winnings on the round. Should you split 2 aces however, you are only permitted to take one additional card for each hand.

You also have the option to play with insurance which is like a game in the game. If the dealer gets an ace and you suspect that he might have a blackjack you can pay for insurance and if it turns out that he actually has blackjack you will be paid 2 to 1 for the insurance. If the dealer does not have blackjack you lose your insurance and the initial bet is settled by comparing your hand to the dealers hand.

You also have the option to double down when your 2 cards gives you a value of 10 or 11. Your initial bet will be doubled and and you will receive one more card only.
