Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold

Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold Introduction

You must have surely heard of Barcrest, and their successful Rainbow Riches video slot series which now boasts another addition to the family. There have been several versions and updates to this video slot, and now it’s time to introduce you to Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold, which is yet another instalment from this popular series. In Drops of Gold, Barcrest have created a different display and added extra features to the standard version, with five additional reels hidden by a rainbow right above the standard set of reels. Barcrest have also created a slot with great graphics and entertaining gameplay, and give you the possibility to choose from various betting options.

But now, it’s time to find out where these riches are hidden, so we’re off to read more about Rainbow Riches: Drops of Gold.

Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold Game Features

Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold is played on five reels and four rows, just like the rest of the franchise. There are five additional reels above and we’ll find out more about that pretty soon. Together with this, there’s a total of fifty fixed paylines which can go up to a smashing 200, but you cannot customise the number of lines on which you play. It’s a matter of luck, but we’ll find out how to increase the number of paylines in the Bonus section.

Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold Free Spins and bonuses

While the regular gaming mode is exciting enough, there are some impressive bonus features lying in store for you to further improve your chances to win.

The second reel set above the standard reelset is known as the Rainbow Reels, and has a rainbow coloured background with silver and gold posts landing in view onto its reels. To be able to use these pots you need to land a Drops of Gold symbol on the fifth reel, after which the pots on the Rainbow Reels will land onto the standard reelset above an existing symbol.

The pots in gold and silver have a different bonus each. The Silver Pots will land on the reels to act as Wild symbols, substituting for all others symbols on the reels to form one, if not more, winning combinations with the sole exception of the Scatter symbol. When it comes to the gold pots, they substitute all symbols on the reels including the Scatters, and if a silver pot lands on a bonus symbol it will upgrade it to a golden pot.

There’s also a Free Spins round in this game, and this is triggered with at least three bonus symbols landing anywhere on the reels. This will reward you with eight Free Spins, with every additional bonus symbol on the reels awarding you an extra four Free Spins.

This Barcrest title also uses the Big Bet feature, allowing you to customise your game features according to a set strategy for five spins. Your spins will be paid out at the end of the fifth spin, and the higher your bet the more extra features you will get during this round.

Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold Payouts

The lower payouts of this game are offered for the card symbols from 10 to A, and as with all Rainbow Riches video slots, there are themed symbols such as the horseshoe, the harp, the mushroom, the fiddle and the Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold game logo. Each of these symbols have different, higher payout amounts.

Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold Graphics and Sound

Plenty of colour and themed symbols on the reels of Rainbow Riches, which is designed to fit within the standard layout of the Barcrest games. Clean layouts, high quality graphics and lots of colour are how you’d best describe this rainbow themed slot.

About the Provider

Barcrest Group Limited is a company that first saw the light of day in 1968. They primarily focus on creating and marketing of gaming equipment, online and offline, to the European market. They’re one of the most reliable game providers available and offer SWP gaming cabinets, gaming terminals based on servers, and video cabinets with multi-game features to bingo clubs, arcades, elite private member clubs and pubs. Barcrest has their sights set on the UK market in particular since they’re located in Ashton-under-Lyne. If you ever played a fruit machine in the UK during the ‘80s or ‘90s – it was probably a slot machine from Barcrest you fed your money into.

They started out with just regular slot machines for the UK market and would carry on to do so until the 1990’s where they were acquired by IGT. This would be the start of a prosperous journey and they ended up being one of the largest gaming software and solution providers in the industry. Barcrest was up for grabs a couple of years later and got picked up by the Scientific Games Corporation (SGC) who would take them to the next level. SGC was providing gaming solutions to over 50 countries and the merger of these companies just felt right.

So what do Barcrest have to offer today? They are primarily focused on and specialised in, software systems and gaming products catered to computers and mobile devices. They used to do bingo and arcade games available in pubs etc. until just a few years ago, but that was the end of an era and they now focus mostly on the modern and profitable online gaming business.
