Oasis Poker

Oasis Poker is a variant of the classic Caribbean Stud Poker. It holds similarities both to Blackjack and to Video Poker. The player plays against the dealer, independently of other players. Your goal as the player is to beat the dealer's hand.

Oasis Poker is played with a deck of 52 cards. In order to participate in the game, you must first place an ante bet. You are then dealt a hand of five cards. The dealer also receives five cards; four face down and one open card. In Oasis Poker, you can exchange your cards after they have been dealt, for a price. The player and the dealer compare hands formed from their five cards. When you have looked at your cards and the dealer's open card, you must decide whether to make a bet and challenge the dealer's hand, exchange cards, or to fold (surrender). If you wish to challenge the dealer, you must place a bet by pressing the BET button.

The bet is always equal to twice the ante. If you do not wish to challenge the dealer's hand, you must opt to press FOLD and lose your ante. When you receive a good hand, you naturally place a bet to challenge the dealer. If you wish to exchange your cards for new cards, you must select the cards you want to exchange, and then press the DRAW button. When the bet has been placed, the dealer reveals his remaining four cards, and the hands are compared.

After your initial hand is dealt, you have the option to exchange any cards of your choice for the next card(s) in the deck. There is a fee to do this, equal to the ante wager as outlined below. This fee is non-refundable. You may switch one of more cards. In this case, the fee for switching two cards is two times the ante, three cards for three times the ante, four cards for two times the ante, and five cards for one times the ante. If you exchange all five of our cards, then you must raise, you are not permitted to fold. This is done automatically for you.

In Oasis Poker, the dealer's hand must contain at least one Ace and King in order to qualify. All winning hands automatically qualify (One pair and up). If the dealer's hand does not qualify, you receive 1 to 1 on your ante only, and your bet is returned to you without winnings. If the dealer's hand does qualify with a value of at least one Ace + one King, the best hand wins. Your winning hand receives 1 to 1 on the ante plus the winnings on your bet, which are calculated according to the winnings table. In cases where the player or the dealer don't have winning hands, the highest card wins.

For example: Dealer's Hand: A, K, J, 8, 3 - Player's Hand: A, K, Q, 3, 2. Player would win since Queen is higher than a Jack. When the dealer and the player receive poker hands of equal value (i.e. a push game), both the ante and the bet are returned to the player. The minimum ante bet in Oasis Poker is a 1 chip, and the maximum is set at 100 chips. See Payouts tab for all pays. To place a bet, select a chip denomination from the lower right-hand corner of your screen. Once selected, click on the desired bet marker on the table to place a bet. Continue to click on the bet markers to increase your bet. To remove a single chip, hold down a SHIFT button and click on a chip to remove it. To remove an entire stack of chips, hold down CNTRL and click on the stack you wish to remove.
